Salvation



You tell me everything will be alright
I don't believe you anymore

 Bitterness crawls through my veins
As you tell me to have faith
Believe in God's grace

 My faith was buried
Six feet deep

 On a Wednesday in September
I laid it down beside him
And watched with apathy
As dirt swallowed both of them silently
